The Cisco Nexus 9500 R-Series Line Cards are high-density 100- and 40-Gbps cards with deep buffer capabilities. These modules deliver 9.6 terabits per second (Tbps) per line card, for a total of 154 Tbps for the 16-slot chassis, 76.8-Tbps for the 8-slot chassis, and 38.4 Tbps for the 4-slot chassis. The R-Series Line Cards support a wide range of speeds: 1, 10, 25, 40, 50, and 100 Gigabit Ethernet. They can be configured with a several optics solutions (QSFP or Breakout cables). The Cisco Nexus 9500 platform is part of the Cisco Nexus 9000 Series Switches.
