This high-speed DisplayPort (DP) cable (M/M) securely connects source and display devices compatible with DP 2.1 audio/video signals. Backward compatible with all your existing DisplayPort devices, including Blu-ray players, gaming/VR consoles and 4K televisions, the P580-006-8K6-2 is ideal for future-proofing your high-definition or Ultra HD application in anticipation of an 8K upgrade. It transmits 10 Gbps per lane over four lanes to provide bandwidth up to 40 Gbps for sharper resolution and brighter color.

The P580-006-8K6-2 supports 8K UHD resolutions up to 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz and 32 audio channels. It’s compatible with DisplayPort 2.1 standards for HDR, providing a wide range of vibrant colors with richer contrast, brighter whites and deeper blacks. HDCP 2.2 compliance allows you to stream 4K content with no complications. This cable also supports 4:4:4 chroma subsampling for top-level online gaming or using your HDTV as a PC monitor.

By connecting this cable to a source that supports DisplayPort MST mode, you may connect two 8K displays simultaneously. This allows you to display the same image on both monitors, extend your host desktop across both with different windows open on each, or combine both into one large display as a video wall. The P580-006-8K6-2 supports video extenders for connecting source and display devices over long distances.

You’re expecting this 8K cable to last a long time, which is why it has been constructed with high-quality materials, such as a rugged PVC jacket. Contacts are gold-plated to resist corrosion. The male connectors latch securely to help prevent the cable from becoming accidentally disconnected and disrupting a continuous audio/video signal.
