Used in conjunction with Cisco SCE8000 GBE Platform.

Service Control Module

FUNCTIONS:

-Service engine (Deep Packet Inspection [DPI]) and traffic processing
- Management interfaces and functionality
- Chassis control and management

LED INDICATORS:

Power:
- Green: Installed power supplies are functioning normally.
- Amber: Only one power supply is functioning normally.
- Unlit: No power from either power supply.


Status:
- Unlit: No power from either power unit.
- Amber: System is booting up.
- Flashing amber: System is operational, but is in a warning state.
- Green: System is fully operational.
- Red: There is a problem or failure.


Optical bypass:
- Green: Optic bypass modules are present, but not operating.
- Amber: Optic bypass modules are present and operating.
- Unlit: Optic bypass modules are not present or there is no power.


Master Service Control module indicator:
- Steady green: Master Service Control module (in slot 1)
- Unlit: Slave Service Control module (in slot 2)
