The U521-000-F-RA converts a standard USB-C port to a low-profile 90-degree angle while preserving full USB4 (up to 40 Gbps) and Thunderbolt 4 host compatibility. The compact right-angle design enables closer placement to walls, rack panels, and mounting surfaces, and helps minimize cable strain in high traffic or space constrained deployments.


Built for USB4 40 Gbps connections, this USB adapter supports high throughput data paths and tunneled DisplayPort signaling to ensure docks, NVMe enclosures, capture devices and other performance sensitive peripherals operate at intended bandwidths. The adapter is backward compatible with USB 3.2 and USB 2.0 specifications, so you can connect legacy devices. Note: Performance depends on the combined capabilities of the host, cable and device.


When used with a DisplayPort 1.4 (HBR3) source and DSC-capable display, the U521-000-F-RA supports 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz. USB4 display tunneling ability makes it an ideal adapter for USB4/Thunderbolt docking stations, video conferencing equipment, gaming displays, and high resolution workflows. Note: DP Alt Mode at 8K/60 Hz or 4K/120 Hz typically uses all four DisplayPort lanes, reducing USB data fallback to USB 2.0. For simultaneous high bandwidth data and video, a USB4 host port is recommended. 


The adapter supports up to 240W USB-C Power Delivery (PD 3.1 EPR) passthrough for quickly charging high-performance laptops and workstations when used with 5A EPR-capable charging cables and power adapters. It’s universally compatible with USB-C PD charging devices and automatically negotiates down to PD 3.0 and below (<100W) for non-EPR equipment.


The plug-and-play adapter preserves USB4 signals across a wide range of laptops, computers, cables, hard drives, displays and other compatible devices, including the MacBook Pro, iPad, iPhone, Precision and ThinkPad.
