The iConverter 100Fx/Tx provides half or full-duplex 100 Mbps 100Base-Fx fiber to 100Base-Tx UTP conversion. It supports half/full-duplex Auto-Negotiation on the UTP side with manual override and manual setting to the desired duplex mode. Multimode models are available with distances up to 5 km. Single-mode models are available with standard 1310 nm wavelength with distances of up to 60 km and with 1550 NM with distances up to 120 km.

The iConverter 100Fx/Tx auto-adapts to the highest level of performance supported by the device connected to the UTP port. When the device is a switch or a workstation that supports full duplex, the iConverter 100Fx/Tx adapts to the full-duplex mode and provides an effective 200 Mbps bandwidth. When the connected device is a hub or a workstation that only supports half duplex, the iConverter 100Fx/Tx adapts to the half-duplex mode and provides the nominal 100 Mbps bandwidth. Override controls provide total control over the half/full-duplex operation.
