Under the advanced exchange option, if Lexmark is unable to resolve the issue remotely Lexmark will provide you with an exchange printer which will be on its way by the next business day. This exchange printer is a permanent replacement for your printer and automatically inherits your original printer's remaining warranty. Then you use the the replacement's packaging to return the defective unit, and Lexmark pays for all shipping costs. This option requires Lexmark to collect your credit card details and retain them until Lexmark receives the faulty unit. If the original printer isn't returned within 6 weeks Lexmark will invoice you for the full retail value of the unit at time of shipping.
