The HP 9.5mm Slim BDXL Blu-Ray Writer Drive backs up, copies, and transfers files on a writer that creates Blu-Ray DVD discs that can be played on most set-top players and Blu-ray or DVD-ROM drives. Record, erase, and re-record CD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, DVD-RAM, BD-R and BD-RE discs up to 500 times. You can store up to 128GB of data on a quad-layer disk, 100GB on a triple-layer disk, and 50GB on a dual-layer disk, or record up to nine hours of high-definition (HD) video or 23 hours of standard-definition (SD) video on a 50GB disc.
