Recommended for classrooms, retail and event setups where tight space and quick setup matter, this Ultra High Definition (UHD) HDMI distribution amplifier is quick and easy to install. It connects to an HDMI source device, such as a laptop or media server, and transmits a 4K audio/video signal to eight HDMI monitors, projectors or televisions simultaneously while maintaining signal integrity. Multi-resolution output allows video content to be presented at the best resolution for each display’s capabilities, including 4K and 1080p displays.


The B118-008-4KL supports Ultra HD 4K resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz with 36-bit Deep Color (12 bits per channel) and LPCM 7.1-channel surround sound. High Dynamic Range (HDR10 and Dolby Vision HDR) offers a wide range of vibrant colors with richer contrast, brighter whites and deeper blacks that pop on your 4K display. HDCP 2.2 encryption allows you to stream 4K content with no loss in resolution. This splitter also supports 18 Gbps bandwidth for uncompressed 4:4:4 chroma subsampling, ensuring crisp text and fine detail in presentations and digital signage. Note: For best performance, use HDMI 2.0 cables up to 16 feet on input and 16 feet on output (32 feet total). The splitter can transmit video at 4K @ 30 Hz or 1080p up to 65 feet combined. 


The B118-008-4KL supports three different EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) modes, which you can control using the front-panel button. Auto Mode automatically finds the optimal video resolution and audio format for all connected displays. Copy Mode copies the EDID from Output 1 and tells the source to use that setting. If a connected display can’t manage that resolution, the splitter will downscale the video for that display while keeping the same audio, HDR and color depth as Output 1. Downscale Mode downscales the 4K signal to 1080p for connected 1080p displays while sending full 4K to all connected 4K displays. No laptop is needed to resolve any resolution conflicts.


Measuring less than one foot wide and one inch tall, this splitter is ideal for tight spaces. The compact metal design fits easily behind displays or in small AV cabinets, and can be stored in a portable AV kit for pop-up events and temporary installations. The external power supply features a four-foot (1.2-meter) cord and includes adapter plugs for North America (NEMA 1-15P), Europe (CEE 7/16 Schuko), UK (BS 1363) and Australia (AS/NZS 3112), allowing for fewer headaches when traveling to an install. The plug-and-play HDMI splitter requires no software to download and install.
