Model 9SPOP2 optically isolates both the RS-232 transmit and receive lines. The isolator has a DB9S female connector on the DTE side and a DB9P male connector on the DCE side. When connecting the model 9SPOP2, it is recommended that all signals that are outputs be connected. The model 9SPOP2 derives power from these signals, even if they are not used by your system.
