This adapter is designed to allow you to connect an HDMI, DVI, or VGA display to a DisplayPort video output. It conforms to the DisplayPort 1.2a standard and supports HDMI resolutions up to 4K (3840x2160p) @30Hz, Dual Link DVI resolutions up to 2560x1600p @60Hz, and VGA resolutions up to 1920x1080p @60Hz. Being a passive adapter, it is NOT compatible with the AMD Eyefinity and nVidia Surround multidisplay modes. Note that only one of the three video outputs can be used at any given time.
